Naomis and Modercais

Tamar a 21 year old fresher comes home driven by a dark handsome man in his early thirties. She seems blown away as she grins from side to side, reluctantly says goodbye and heads for the door.

Tamar : Good evening mum (hugs mum).

Mum : Good evening dear, welcome back. How was school today?

Tamar : School was great, I had fun (she settles into the couch).

Mum : Hmm! I can imagine (winks at her).

Tamar : Mum (mouths at mother)

Mum : Yes, is there something you want to tell me? (Taking a sit beside her)

Tamar : No!!!

Mum : Hmm! (Giving her a suggestive look)

Mum : I don’t mean to pry but I couldn’t help but notice the handsome young man that dropped you off.

Tamar : (Blushes) Well, his name is Joshua, a final year student of law. We met two days ago. He's got big dreams, loves music and travelling just like me.

Mum : Interesting.

Tamar : He says he likes me (Gives a sigh waiting for a response).

Mum : I see, who wouldn’t love this beautiful lady, a total package.

Tamar : Oh! Mum, that’s sweet (smiles)

Mum : So tell me, do you like him too?

Tamar : I’m not sure (now shy) I think I do, we have things in common plus I like his looks, the way he looks at me plus his words...

Mum: I see.

Tamar : Mum I’m a bit confused here you know, I don’t know if what I feel is right or if he’s the one you’ve always taught me to pray for.

Mum : (Smiles) It’s not that complicated. Come join me make dinner, let’s chat.
