Beholding as in a mirror (The power of vision)

And we all with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is Spirit.
2 Cor. 3:18 (NIV)

The body is made up of many parts amongst which are sense organs, and these have special features that grant them direct connection to the higher centre. They have in them the capacity to send and receive impulses and one of such is the eye. Having a ‘functional’ eye means you can see and correctly interpret that which is before you.

The word of God calls our attention to something profound that makes for growth and progress and that is the power of vision; the ability to see, to perceive. It is a principle that enables taking hold of a thing.

Through scripture we see God using the power of sight to birth things in the earth realm and communicating the same to people in different dispensations, from Abraham to Moses to David to Jeremiah to the Apostles and the church.

And God said, let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good...
Genesis 1:3-4 (NIV)

Vision is so powerful and influential that whatsoever you constantly behold has the capacity of changing you into itself. This happens all the time, in mentorship and otherwise. It interests me how that Jacob by simply placing striped branches of a poplar tree in the watering trough of the animals he was tending, such that they looked upon it as they came to drink, altered the makeup of the offspring they bore to his desire. How in the world does what I see alter what I’m carrying within? Spiritual principles! Truly it is foolishness to the world because it does not appeal to human reasoning (1 Cor. 1:18-31)

God has so designed life to be lived by sight, and by sight I don’t mean the physical eyes. He designed men to live by beholding Him and in beholding Him steadfastly we become like him, we see the blueprint for our lives, and all that we need for life and godliness and by seeing we possess because vision is connected to possession.

You cannot live in an unimagined life or pursue unimagined goals; what then is your hope? Life is too short to be lived by chance. You must sustain the ability through built capacity to see through God’s eyes and to work toward handling it. Do you know what’s interesting? Even God watches over His word to see it fulfilled (Jer. 1:12 AMP)

I think it’s time you step back and dream again. Remember your mind is a womb, you will eventually transform into the mould you see yourself in.
